Prof. Frederik Stjernfelt, Aalborg University Diagrammatology - Visual Perspectives.

The presentation introduces Peirce's conception of diagrams as tools for reasoning and discusses visual diagrams as well as diagrammatic aspects of visual representations in general.

Frederik Stjernfelt is a Professor at the Dept. for Communication, Aalborg University. His research interests cover cognitive semiotics, philosophy of science, history of ideas, theory of literature, political philosophy which he combines with an interest in the visual and in arts.
