APA Style

APA style

Communication and Digital Media has decided that all projects must be completed in accordance with the APA Style as described at www.apastyle.org. APA Style defines a set of guidelines for designing a reference list and references within the text and for the overall design of academic articles, including how to design a title, an abstract, how to format in-text citations and insert images and figures, etc.

Since new types of texts continue to come into existence, APA Style is continuously developed and you may find several different versions of APA. We recommend that you always use the latest edition of APA.

The APA style has many rules. At Aalborg University Library you can find a book which describes the APA format in full:

American Psychological Association. (2010). Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (6th ed.). Washington D.C. : Author.
